For almost 10 months now, the coronavirus, also called Covid-19, has dominated everyone’s everyday life. There is hardly anyone the global pandemic has passed by. We, too, are of course very much concerned with the virus and its effects. As many of our customers suffer from chronic illnesses and are therefore in the risk group, it is particularly important to us to maintain the supply of CBD in the country. Of course, we are also asked again and again: can CBD help with coronavirus? If so, how? That is why we have collected the latest information for you here:
CBD & Covid-19
Coronavirus has dominated everyone’s everyday life for almost a year. Whether as a key worker on the front line and/or by being exposed to a constant double burden of work & childcare. Some also work in sectors that have been hit hard by coronavirus and are therefore facing existential worries. Coronavirus is a great burden for most people.
But researchers from all kinds of fields are also working constantly to gain new insights into coronavirus. Research is already being carried out busily on the topic of cannabis or CBD and coronavirus. A research group of molecular biologists in Canada, for example, is looking into how CBD could protect against infection with the virus. This research approach is still at the very beginning, but we are excited to see what develops from it. You can read more about the study here .
Researchers at the University of Mississippi are working on another approach. They investigated the influence CBD has on the human immune system. They came to the conclusion that CBD could protect the body from immune system overactivity by regulating the immune system. That in turn could protect against a severe course of viral infections such as flu, but also SARS-CoV-2. You can find the full report on this here. In addition, people who have already had coronavirus report that CBD was able to help them significantly in their recovery process. One of them is Irmgard Krenn from Carinthia. She told ORF: “I still have shortness of breath and get exhausted quickly.” Four months ago she thought she was going to die. She was seriously ill with COVID-19. At that time, the hemp compound CBD helped her, the lawyer told ORF journalists.
