Harvest Festival in Cannabis Production

Ever wanted to be there for a MAGU harvest? Now you can – at least virtually. On the occasion of the harvest festival, we give you a look behind the scenes of our cannabis production here. 

We have a state-of-the-art production facility in which we grow CBD flowers. Our Johanna is pictured shortly before harvest. Before that, she was on a strict diet and got what is natural and good for her: water, microorganisms, natural plant strengtheners and, of course, unconditional love. 💚

We produce Johanna below 0.2% THC and thus – like all our plants – below the permitted THC limit. Depending on the jurisdiction in Europe, this is 0.2 or 0.3%. Our flowers are naturally unaltered, and we are proud of that.

 

We load the cut, i.e. harvested, plants onto a garden trolley. They go straight on to further processing: there we remove the large leaves (also called sun sails or, in English, “fan leaves”) and then separate the buds. Next stop: the trimmer.

 

During fine trimming, the trimmer gently and reliably removes all the fine leaves close to the bud (“sugar leaves“). By the way: we also obtain our electricity exclusively from sustainable sources. During the final check of the trimming result, the flowers are inspected once again and, if necessary, trimmed by hand. A little spoiler warning for the next photo: this is just a snapshot – our buds (unfortunately) rarely come into contact with skin.

As we are taking this bud for our own tests and analyses (and want to show you a nice photo), our hand model is not wearing gloves. We put hygiene first and work with gloves, hairnets and work coats.

The fully trimmed buds on their way to the drying room, where they are gently dried at the perfect temperature and humidity. Curing is a special phase in which we regularly check all values. In order to be able to consistently offer you the high quality of our flowers, complete monitoring is necessary.
