CBD for Horses and Other Large Animals

Life isn’t a bed of roses? At least it could feel like one. And if we believe the animals that were allowed to test our products and their owners, CBD makes that possible. Also for horses and other animals, such as large dogs or cows.

Do horses tolerate CBD at all?

Horses also have a natural endocannabinoid system. No negative side effects are known for horses or other mammals of that size. Even elephants in zoos are given CBD. As, according to the WHO, CBD also has a very good safety profile, there are many animal owners who have been giving their pets CBD for a long time.

Which product is suitable for horses?

Our Organic Large Animal CBD Oil is made for horses. Because of their size and weight, horses need a higher dosage than other animals.

What can they take CBD for or against?

Common complaints are signs of ageing, fear of thunderstorms, epilepsy, nervousness when travelling, for example. Horses that often take part in competitions or work with children in particular can stay calm this way. But CBD can also help with lethargy or low mood.

How do I recognise a good CBD oil?

As with all CBD products: quality comes first! And how do you recognise good quality? As a layperson that is of course a little more difficult, which is why we recommend: look out for certificates of analysis and recommended intake. For our products, you will find the certificates directly on the product page.

An additional organic certificate can of course never hurt!

Is CBD also suitable for other animals?

Yes! Absolutely. That is why our oils are not called horse or elephant oils. Other small and large animals can also benefit from the effect, e.g. rabbits and rodents. There is a separate product for cats. We explain why here.
