Three quarters of users have had good experiences with CBD, and one in two knows the difference between the drug THC and the active substance CBD. According to a cannabis survey, a majority even wants complete liberalisation.
A current survey commissioned by us shows a high affinity of Austrians for cannabis products. INTEGRAL surveyed 1009 people aged between 16 and 69. The cannabis survey is representative of the whole of Austria and has a margin of error of 3.1%. More than half of the respondents stated that they knew the difference between THC (psychoactive) and CBD (relaxant and painkiller). Among the more formally educated population group, as many as 2/3 knew the difference.

Good experiences with the effects of CBD

14% of respondents already have concrete personal experience with CBD, which corresponds to a population group of 873,600 people. More than ¾ of CBD consumers stated that they had had good to very good experiences with it. Among people with a higher educational qualification, a whopping 93% would use CBD products again; across all sections of the population it is 79%. Only 7% report exclusively negative experiences with CBD. More than half of non-users can imagine using CBD in the future. Just under a quarter (22%) of them give a lack of information as the reason why they have not yet consumed CBD products.
