How to recognize high-quality CBD oil

CBD-Öl und Hanfpflanzen

We get inquiries all the time about the quality of CBD oil and why the oil tastes the way it does. That’s why Juri (our molecular biologist), explains what you should look for when buying CBD oil and why a light, mild oil does not equal higher quality or a greater effect.

The CBD oils that you can currently buy in our stores are made from a whole extract and are rather dark. They contain terpenes and cannabinoids as well as many secondary plant compounds (such as chlorophyll). Our raw extract is only from flowers and therefore has a higher concentration of cannabinoids – in contrast to extracts where the whole plant is extracted. The intense flavor also comes from these flowers.

This whole or raw extract is then dissolved in hemp seed oil. This carefully selected composition of whole extract and hemp seed oil enhances the so-called entourage effect, and the maximum potential of CBD unfolds – unlike pure CBD “alone”. Nature has thought carefully about which ingredients are found in the hemp plant. And we use this wisdom of nature in our Full Spectrum CBD oils.

The right choice

Other manufacturers often dissolve the extracts in sesame oil because this oil has a longer shelf life. At the same time, the fatty acids of sesame oil are not as perfect a blend for the human body as those of hemp oil. Sometimes MCT oil is also used, as in our Gold CBD oils, which contains medium-chain fatty acids. These consist of chains of 8-12 carbon atoms, for example, coconut fat (C8 – caprylic acid, C10 – capric acid, C12 – lauric acid). MCT oil contains very healthy fatty acids. However, it is often made not only from coconut oil, but also from palm oil.

Some of our customers ask for a CBD oil based on MCT oil, because it is perceived as less intense in taste than the hemp nut based oil. That’s why we are even more pleased that we were able to respond to your request and have now launched our Gold CBD oils based on MCT oil.

What should you look for when buying CBD Oils?

One of the most important metrics when comparing different suppliers of CBD oil is the ratio of CBD in milligrams to euros. This allows you to easily calculate the price per milligram of CBD. This way you can compare what is behind big promises – often there are real surprises, as ARGE Canna has investigated using the example of a brand that is often in demand.

In our oils you get up to 2,000 mg of CBD per 10 ml, as well as other cannabinoids and terpenes. So you don’t need 300 drops per day to achieve the desired effect. 3 drops are enough for most customers. Our CBD oil is best stored in a dark and cool place. If you have it in the fridge, take the bottle out a few minutes before use. In our online store you will find all information about our CBD oils and our Gold CBD oils, such as application, ingredient list and certificates of cannabinoid content.
